To learn more about what a wedding is like, sometimes one must look at the place – its past, people and culture. For example, what people know about Bacolod? The house of the Mass Kara Festival? It’s not like people go around wearing masks during their wedding ceremonies. So instead, let’s step back in time, only to learn more about the place called the City of Smiles.

Negros Occidental is also widely known for hacienderos, the Ilonggo elite descent, and the Spanish and French who came to the place due to the collapse of the textile industry in the 19th century. Therefore, the sugar industry was born and sustained.

With the opening of the Suez Canal, galas Bacolod was flooded with European works of art, and images of Baroque churches and mansions in expansion. Splendour that is evident in the center of San Sebastian Church and in the manors of Locsins, Lizareses, Araneta, Gaston and Lacsons.

The appreciation of the details is also evident in works of art such as the mosaic mural of a native Madonna tapis, carrying the baby Jesus with a rosary, all this took place at the capiz-shell spaces of different sizes.

Some structures of the heritage of this fascinating p0lace Aniceto Lacson House are featured in movies such as Lino Brocka of Gumising Ka, Maruja “and Negrense Peque Gallaga of” Oro Plata Mata, “and the Lizares Mansion in Talisay, with its Moorish window patterns, a molave angel found in the family cemetery, desk Placido Mapa, and the first drawings of the artist Arturo Luz National.

Silay City, by contrast, is home to the Romanesque church of San Diego and its silver dome and the big clock. With these snapshots of Negros Occidental, it is easy to imagine how intimate and elaborate, or happy and live (with many relatives and some politicians and pulled High Society) weddings are Bacolod.

We can imagine the dance (folk dance, after all Visayan covers everything from worship to courtship dance wedding dances and mimetic dances, mostly of a flight of birds, fish harvesting, wine making, etc.. )

And we can imagine how they courted at the time, a tradition passed on by ancestors of the province of Ilocos. “Tapat” is courtship through poetry and song as a serenade to a young lady, and Mrs. answers in a song length of a courtship that is in front of him. Then the man responds with a passionate song and answers continue until an “understanding” is made.

Finally, we can imagine the place-Bacolod in all its splendor and charm. People who live here in Sugarland, with its lilting accent, hospitality and refined, strong-willed personalities really distinguish it. There is the smell of chicken inasal (probably not go missing at any family reunion or wedding rehearsal) and the appeal of golf, water sports, mountain biking for the more adventurous.

Bacolod City is the heritage, culture and nature, all in one. Easily accessible, interesting and affordable, it is definitely a wonderful choice for a destination outside the city of the wedding.

According to the reports of the Department of Tourism, a large group of wedding professionals from California to the city surfaced recently and looked at the prospects for the Philippines as a destination wedding. They only had good words for him. “A basic wedding costs around $ 50,000 U.S., while in the Philippines are available for weddings of less than half that, with a honeymoon vacation lying on the package,” Richard Markel, President of the LA-based Association for Wedding Professionals International, was quoted as saying.
Outside the U.S. mainland, Hawaii is a popular wedding site for Americans, but still expensive. With the recession in full swing, people are either canceling or holding weddings in other locations.
Despite this distance, I think that Argentina has what it takes to be a cheap destination, affordable wedding for the following reasons:
1. The availability of cheap talent that can do all the work whether a singer, a band, a florist or even a fire dancer, labor is relatively cheap in these places. The options are diverse and simply stunning too.

2. Existence of all-in-one package that can tie the knot relatively free of problems. The big cities have professional planners and coordinators, or you do not want to hire a must-stop shops for this purpose, where you can get everything you need – from clothing to accessories catering to the wedding – on a roof. Well, do not forget to take care of the documents from your wedding as well.
3. Offshore trading. Those who want to organize your wedding from scratch you can skip the shopping and do the dirty work in places like Divisoria and Baclaran. These areas are very hard, but it is here where you can bargain and reduce costs by more than 50 percent.

4. Cheap restoration. Competition between the catering services has allowed delicious food at reasonable prices yet for their wedding, and can go as low as P150 (about $ 3).

5. without the high price environment. The foreign partners who want to choose the Philippines because they want history and a touch of exotic. Nothing’s more attractive than the exchange of vows amid a backdrop of white sand beach, fine sand and coconut palms. Here, you cannot make a dent in your wallet.

Wedding celebration is one of the most important events for couples. This is the case they would be together as a married couple not only through the eyes of the public, but also in the eyes of the church and God. Although the wedding celebrations vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries and social classes, their ceremonies are often similar. Most wedding ceremonies involve an exchange of vows of the couple, the filing of a gift (offering, the ring (s), the symbolic theme, flowers, money), and a public proclamation of marriage by a figure authority or leader. But generally, these wedding celebrations are governed by different sets of traditions.

Filipino wedding customs

The groom usually wears the Barong Tagalog during the wedding, along with male participants, though nowadays the rich choose to wear Western dress and a tuxedo. Sukob: weddings held in the same year by two brothers, sisters are generally frowned upon, because it is considered bad luck. Some argue that the wedding rings dropping to the ground is an omen of bad luck (this is usually said that the Ring-bearer to ensure that the child’s care in the handling of the Rings). Money, in the form of notes, sometimes covered with duct tape or the groom and the bride’s dress during the reception.

In Batangas province, popular in the Philippines in terms of weddings, are also known for its traditions in the wedding celebrations. Unlike the tradition of attributing the money on the groom and the bride’s dress during the reception, calling Batangeos usually have these in the names of the groom and bride’s parents, family and friends to help you on your money in a basket or a pitcher, while the commentator announces how much they have given. This tradition is called “Saboga.

U.S. influence wedding ceremonies

The culture of Filipino weddings today have been largely inspired by U.S. Customs as sending wedding invites guests. Other popular wedding traditions inspired by United States Customs include:

* A color scheme is often selected to match everything from bridesmaids dresses, flowers, invitations and decorations.
* The bride usually wears a white dress, white, silver, or other very light, especially in his first marriage.
* The wedding ceremony takes place in a church, courthouse, or elsewhere, as a place outdoors. The ceremony itself is usually brief, and is primarily dictated by the couple’s religious practices
* Rice is sometimes thrown at the newlyweds to leave the ceremony as a symbol of fertility. Some individuals, churches or communities choose birdseed due to a false myth, but believed that birds eating rice is going to explode. * In a symbolic cutting of the wedding cake, the bride and groom jointly hold a knife to cut the cake and the first pieces of wedding cake, feeding each other.
* If offered the dancing, the bride and groom first dance together briefly. Often, an additional protocol is followed, in which dance along with a parent, and then, possibly with other members of the wedding party.
* A mid-twentieth century it became common for the bride to throw her bouquet over her shoulder to the unmarried women to the assembly during the reception.

Ask her
The first thing you should do after deciding to marry his Filipino girl is asking parents of their child by the hand. This is a tradition that the groom and his parents formally visit the bride’s family and discuss the wedding plans, for example, the guest list, wedding budget. The relatives of the groom pool their resources to prepare for the event – to provide the wedding dress, decoration of the church and the bride’s house, caring for the many guests who come, get ready for the wedding banquet, and fix all other relevant details.
The wedding is set on a day when the crescent moon. District elders say that marriages when the moon is waning meet with no luck and prosperity, a belief that seems to be widespread among other peoples Visayas. Special events are held in relation to the eve of the wedding (likod-likod) with the aim of encouraging friendship and goodwill between the families of the two contracting parties. Another objective is to commemorate the last day before the couple share a married life together. Parents of the bride and groom address each other in familiar terms, “Stop” (for parents) and “Mare” (for mothers).

Apart from bearing the full cost of the party, the boy’s relatives to take care of entertaining and serving guests, especially the bride’s circle of family and close friends. There is an abundant supply of food and beverages, music and merry making. Great caution is found that nothing unpleasant happens, that all the visitors the pleasure and well fed, and that the provisions have not been exhausted. A serene, generous holiday portends luck and happiness for the bridal day.

An expert from the woman is often asked in charge of dishing out rice and meats in the large plates (trays). To pronounce certain invocations as she spoons of rice with a scoop of coconut (luwag) to ensure that food is sufficient for the party. The shortage would put the groom’s family to shame and predict the failure of the marriage celebrations. The bridal pair participates in the festivities, lasting until late at night, but parents ensure that early retirement.

I spent the whole day in Tagaytay Highlands in Tagaytay Cavite. This is an elegant country club in a neglected area of the city of Tagaytay, surrounded by exquisite greenery (mostly pine trees!) And had a captivating view of Lake Taal.
Tagaytay Highlands is a club member access only country with many amenities that would undoubtedly make a family day worthwhile and fulfilled. There are many things to do when in Tagaytay Highlands. The first of these is of course the famous cable car, where he was treated with a beautiful view of the surroundings through a cable car takes you to the highest summit of Highland Peak. The gait is slow and yet have the pleasant surprise to see the panoramic view of the bird’s eye perspective view.
In addition to the cable car, Tagaytay Highlands also has the following services:
• a landscaped pool,
• a sports center where you can play billiards, bowling and other fun activities
• a fairly new farm animals and small
• kart race track
• a spa,
• Golf
On the gastronomic delight, Tagaytay Highlands has many restaurants and cafes to culinary experience. Highly recommended is the lunch buffet at the Veranda (though expensive), which undoubtedly would compromise intestinal capacity. You can also try Geraldine Soda Fountain where the chocolate milk is indeed a pleasure. There is also a cinema next to it in old movies are shown.
It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay in Tagaytay in fact, although not all can afford the membership fee to the country club. A good strategy is to find friends who are members and ask them to provide their membership rights.
